Learn to love yourself

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought “hmmm…not sure that I like what I am seeing”? This could be because of several factors, perhaps your not happy with your weight, perhaps you don´t like what you are wearing or perhaps you simply don´t like the colour of your hair!  Some of these things can be changed almost immediately, others may need a bit more work.

Try telling yourself “I like who I am”, “I like what I am seeing” and keep telling yourself the same thing until you start to believe …. be honest and true to yourself, learn to love yourself and other´s will follow!

I can´t!

How many times do we tell ourselves, “I can´t”, “I don´t know”, “I´m not capable” or even “it´s beyond me!”.

By updating our thoughts and trying to eliminate harmful negative thoughts, we can bring back positivity to our lives…imagine how you would feel if you starting believing “I can”, “I know how”, “I´m capable” and “It´s totally not beyond me”…. it seems impossible at times and many people deal with a lot of negativity constantly in their lives…try changing just one negative thought to a positive thought each day and see what happens….if it helps, write it down…every time you have the negative thought you can look at a positive version and read it out aloud!

Together we can eliminate negativity and start to bring in positivity … just image how you would feel!  Contact me today to find out a bit more.

Why coaching online?

There are many advantages to having coaching online but I appreciate that it doesn´t suit everyone.

Most of my clients have opted for online coaching for one main reason - privacy.  The idea of having coaching online via skype or google talk is appealing to many clients because they don´t have to be seen - obviously with most video conferencing software, we have the ability to use the camera and see each other but I leave this entirely up to my clients.  One of my clients recently came to me because they wanted a degree of anonymity and the idea of going to meet a coach "face to face" was quite daunting for them.

People tend to feel more comfortable in their own environment and are often able to open up a little bit more as they don´t feel embarrassed as they choose not to be seen.

If you are unsure about having coaching, why not try an online session now...it´s private and of course, confidential.

The importance of time management

Time Management is one of those things that we all know about, we all understand but very few people actually use it to it´s full advantage.

It seems a bit mundane, perhaps even boring or stupid to write down everything you need to do at a specific time of the day, including contingencies and everyday tasks however the benefits of doing so are unbelievable!

If you are struggling to get the best of your time - why not contact me today and let´s look at a time management program for you that really will work!

How many thoughts do we have....

Did you know that the average person has between 50,000 and 70,000 thoughts per day and that an average of 80% (yes, really 80%) of those thoughts can be negative ones!

It´s important to remember that not all negative thoughts hinder our lives, even though they are negative, they may not have any particular impact on our lives however, an alarming amount of them do.

What´s more alarming is the fact that negative thoughts can lead onto something much more sinister, such as anxiety and depression.

Don´t let your negative thoughts get the better of you, they can be dealt with and they can be controlled.

Negotiating Skills

Have you ever been in a position where you have needed to negotiate with someone, maybe a sale, a business proposition or for personal reasons?

Developing good strong negotiating skills seems to come easy to some people, especially business people who are negotiating for a living.  However, this is a skill that needs to be nurtured and developed.  Confidence is the key.

If you feel confident and comfortable then you can increase your negotiating skills much easier than you might expect.

Let me help you to develop your confidence levels and increase your ability to successfully negotiate.

When stress becomes depression

The difference between stress and depression is not so far away as some people may think.

It can become a vicious cycle - stress which is unmanaged or uncontrolled can lead to acute stress, acute stress then leads onto depression and so forth.

Don´t think that stress can be dealt with by ignoring it, it simply won´t go away.  You may feel better for a few days whilst you have put your stress issues to the back of your mind but trust me, it will be back on the forefront of you mind before you know it.

However, there are ways to deal with stress management.  It is also important to remember that we all have different levels of stress and control them individually.  A certain degree of stress in our lives is essential but too much is simply that, too much.

If you think your stress level is beyond your ability to be able to manage it correctly, why not contact me today to find out how I can help you get it back under control.

Taking on too much

Very often, one of the main issues my clients have is that they have over-committed themselves.  It is essential that we are honest and true to ourselves when planning our day to day activities.  By over-committing, we sometimes believe that we are doing the right thing (we simple can´t or don´t want to say no) but the end result is usually devastating because by over-committing whatever you are trying to achieve is either not achieved at all or is achieved badly.

One of the main issues in taking control of our lives is to ensure that even though we want to challenge ourselves and push ourselves sometimes to do something out of our "comfort zone" we really don´t want to overcomit.  Be true to yourself, be true to what you want and be true to what you believe you are capable of.

Results and change are possible but start with being honest in what you want to achieve.

The power of a feeling

Have you ever watched a film and laughed out loud?
How about crying?  Do you remember watching a film that made you cry?
When was the last time you heard a song on the radio that set off an emotion in you? Maybe it made you happy, maybe it made you sad, maybe it simply made you laugh

What if you could use these "triggers" and emotions in your daily life - dealing with your stress levels, dealing with goal planning and time management.  Simply put, you can and the effects are amazing.

Why not contact me today to find out how...the first session is FREE!

The importance of planning

Many clients often ask me, Why do I need to set goals for the future?  I´m interested in what´s happening now.

This is all well and good, and of course, we need to be here at the present, concentrating on what we are doing now however, if you want to make relevant changes to your life, it is very important to understand that we can´t simply think about them and sit back hoping they will happen!

It not only takes hard work and dedication to make relevant changes, but it is hugely important to have specific, realistic goals set.  Some of the goals may be short-term, others very long-term but the purpose behind them is the same - it gives us something to work towards, a purpose and an opportunity to look into the future.

There are many ways to achieve our goals, and of course, we are all individual and our goals are individual.

If you would like my help today in getting you on the right track to achieve your goals (or you simply need help with setting the right type of goals), why not contact me today to find out more.  The first session is free!

Hard Work and Dedication

It´s not easy to make life changing decisions, it´s not easy to try something new and it is definately not easy to accomplish your tasks or goals - no-one ever said it was.  However, one thing that we have to remember is that it IS possible.  If you want something bad enough, if you consider your options, if you work hard and dedicate yourself to change, then change is possible.

Work hard, be dedicated and most importantly, believe in yourself.  If you believe in yourself then others will soon follow.

Contact me today to find out how I can help you.

If you have big goals and dreams, why not contact me today and together we can work on giving you the courage you need to step away and try something new.

Knowledge is key

The first step to be able to make any real and long-term change to your life is knowing what you want.  Goal Planning and Management is a key development tool and it does actually work.  However, unless you are of the mindset that change is something you want, it is going to be a long, hard process.

Setting your goals high is great but always remember to stay focused and set realistic goals.  A goal can be something that you want to achieve in the short term or in the long-term.

Be realistic and open-minded with yourself, set about achieving your goals and you´ll see a big difference to your life.

If you think I can help you with your goal planning and management, why not contact me today to find out more - the first session is free and lasts about 50 minutes, why wait?

Today´s Quote

I read this quote today on twitter and felt compelled to share it with you.  The first step is creating a "to-do list" but then what?

"The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities." ~ Stephen Covey

If you think I can help with planning your day, week, month or year, why not contact me today - the first session is free!

Anger Management

Let´s face it, we all get angry!  Some more than others and we all react in different ways.  However, we can deal with our anger issues - it is not something that we need to simply live with.

By controlling your thoughts and taking a step back once in a while before we "fly off the handle" we can make a huge difference to our anger management.  Did you know that when you get angry at someone else, you are also getting angry at yourself - normally, it doesn´t stop there, that anger builds up inside of you and can lead on to all sorts of issues - to include anxiety.

Stay focused, keep calm and see a difference.

If you think I can help, why not contact me today to find out more ... our first session is free and without obligation.

Negative Thoughts

In order for us to deal with our negativity and negative thoughts, we first need to identify them.  I know that this sounds a bit easy, but it´s harder than most think.   We can´t change every thought in our head but we need to be able to identify those that are holding us back and instead of eliminating them, we need to re-arrange them, so to speak.

The impact of changing a negative thought to a positive thought is huge and has long-term benefits on our daily lives.

If you would like to find out more, why not contact me today to find out how I can help you get past that negativity and more forward.

The life cycle

Have you ever felt that you are like a hamster on a treadmill?  Just going through the day to day routines, always the same and always ending up back where you started?

Life can get a grip of you at times and it´s hard to break the pattern.

The most important thing is to first identify that you want to make change.  Once you have identified (and are happy) with your choice of making change then anything is possible.  It may seem an impossible task but we are all capable of changing our life´s direction.

If you think that the time is right for you, why not contact me today and we can work together to get off the treadmill.

Making Change

I read a quote online today, it´s by "unknown" but it really struck a nerve with me personally and I wanted to share it with you.

"The first step to getting anywhere is deciding you´re no longer willing to stay where you are" - Unknown.

I believe that this is a very strong statement and something that we should remind ourselves of.  During time of change we always think that it is important to know where we are going or what we want to change.  However, perhaps it is more powerful to first understand that we are not willing to accept where we are.  To make powerful changes in our lives, be it business or personal the sequence of events is very important.

If you are struggling to get the sequence of events or thoughts correct, why not contact me today and we can work together.
